A very simple program that sits discreetly at the top of the screen allows you to pick any colour of the screen and save it to a swatch. You can then copy the Hex/Dec value to the clipboard.

Instructions:
Press Ctrl + click with the left mouse button to save a colour to the swatch pad. Right click on the colour saved to copy either the Hex or Dec value of the colour to the clipboard.
